Dr. G. Barnard Wilson

Dr.Wilson was born in Alexandria, Va. and grew up in Stockton, Ca. He graduated from Stagg High School with honors in 1964, attended Delta Jr. College 1964-1966 and transferred to University of California Berkeley 1966 graduating from the School of Optometry in 1971 with honors. Dr. Wilson has been in private practice since 1971 serving as Clinical Director of the Student Vision Center in Victorville, Ca.1971-1973. In 1973, Dr. Wilson settled in Modesto and started a branch office in Stockton in 1974. Dr. Wilson has been President of the San Joaquin Optometric Society three times (twice in the 1990's and in 2002) and served on the Symposium Board of the San Joaquin Optometric Society from 2000 to 2007. He. also, serves as the Vision trainer for the Head-Start Vision Screeners in San Joaquin County. Dr. Wilson enjoys his encounters with patients for general optometry, lasik consultation, contact lens fittings, medical eye disease problems and special needs patients.

On a personal level, Dr. Wilson enjoys some golf, home projects for wife and family, and attending the numerous activities his 10 grand children and now 2 great grandchildren participate in. He is, also, a big fan of sports and Drum and Bugle Corps. Go Berkeley Bears!
